On The Road

On the Road host, Brent Curtis.

Each Monday during construction season, Brent Curtis appears on radio stations throughout Vermont, and every Tuesday morning on WCAX News with the latest information about construction projects throughout Vermont.

Based on reports from our project managers, resident engineers and a host of other sources, On the Road tells you what you need to know in order to pick the best route, avoid unnecessary delays or when to allow a little extra time.

You'll also learn a little bit about how work zones work and how best to give our people out in the field the space to get their jobs done safely.

I-91 North & South Bound Lane Closures

Motorists should prepare for several days of lane closures starting Tuesday February 16th in the Hartford/WRJ area on I- 91 North and South Bound lanes. Crews will be conducting soil borings for the ROCKINGHAM-HARTFORD Project. Each location should take approximately 1 full day to complete. Work crews will remove guardrail and install a gravel pad for borings as well as drilling from the roadway within the lane closure.

Traffic will be reduced to one lane, start Tuesday February 16th, and continue for approximately 2 straight weeks (excluding weekends and days of inclimate weather).  The job will start roughly at daylight and end at dusk each day.

Motorists should expect changing traffic patterns, traffic personnel in the roadway  and equipment entering and exiting the closed lane in the various work zones.
