FTP Information

The Agency utilizes an FTP system to facilitate the transfer of RFP and RFQ documents. The system is very efficient and effective and is the preferred method to deliver these documents.
The following information refers specifically to the use of FTP for Personal Services and Design-Build Contracting only.
Some helpful information about the FTP System:
  • FTP is the only method to electronically receive these files. VTrans will not email the documents.

  • Only one FTP account is allowed per firm. If you request an additional account VTrans will refer you to the account holder within your firm.

  • The same account will be used for all future RFP/RFQs you request.

  • Please remember your account information - user-name and password. If you have forgotten your user-name, or require your password to be reset, you may experience a wait of up to 2 business days for your request to be processed.

  • FTP passwords are case-sensitive.

  • Having an FTP account does not grant you access to all RFPs and/or RFQs. You must still request access via the request form found on the Current RFP page or the Current RFQ page.

  • The RFP/RFQ documents will no longer be available once the RFP/RFQ closes.

  • It takes up to 2 business days for new account requests to be processed. Please be patient. Look for an email detailing user information to be sent within that time frame to the email address provided.
