Completed Bridge Project
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, June 5, 2023:
Monday through Friday:
- Weather permitting, line striping, if not completed before the end of this week.

This Week: Final pavement (wearing course) was placed and the site area has all been restored.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Tuesday, May 30, 2023:
Tuesday:
- Grinding 1/2" of the bridge deck surface to obtain a perfect deck profile/surface.
Wednesday:
- Installation of rubber bridge joints.
Thursday:
- Weather permitting, line striping.
Final paving is complete and the construction site restorated
This Week: Base pavement was placed and traffic is now driving over the new bridge; Guardrails are installed; The temporary bridge has been removed.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, May 22, 2023:
Monday through Thursday, Friday until noon:
- Weather permitting, final paving on both bridge approaches.
- Continue site restoration on abutting surroundings disrupted during this project.

This Week: Minimal work to include continued site restoration.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, May 15, 2023:
Monday:
- Weather permitting, paving the base course on both bridge approaches.
Tuesday through Friday:
- Begin removal of the temporary bridge roadway along with the temporary bridge.
Friday:
- Complete installation of guardrail.
Motorists to expect traffic control with moderate delays during the paving operation.

This week: Both approaches were milled in anticipation of paving. Guardrail was installed. Began site restoration.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, May 8, 2023:
Monday through Friday:
- Weather permitting, paving both bridge approaches.
- Begin removal of the temporary bridge.

The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, May 1, 2023, 2023.
Monday through Friday:
- Work to continue on the roadway approaches in anticipation of milling and paving the roadway base potentially later in the week.
- Installation of the bridge guardrail.
Forms set for the concrete pour of the bridge curb
Concrete retaining wall poured and cured
Drainage structures were installed along with the forming and pouring of the concrete approach slabs and some bridge curbing. The existing pavement on each bridge approach has been removed in preparatoin for base pavement - motorists be aware of gravel surfaces and reduce speed.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, April 24, 2023.
Monday through Friday:
- The newly poured concrete for the approach slabs, bridge curb and retaining wall will be curing.
- Pouring of the remaining bridge curb.
- Preparation of the roadway approaches in anticipation of paving the roadway base potentially later in the week.

Spring is here and so is the 2023 construction season.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, April 17, 2023.
Monday through Friday:
- Prep work to begin construction and work on the both bridge roadway approaches.
2022 Construction work
The contractor monitored the curing of the concrete deck slab poured last Friday along with project clean up work this week.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, November 28, 2022.
Monday through Friday:
- Begin removal of the deck formwork.
- Begin preparations for the installation of the new sewer force main system.
Began installing the formwork and placement of the reinforced steel for the concrete decking. Installed heated enclosure under the bridge deck to maintain proper curing temparatures after the concrete is poured. Concrete is scheduled to be poured tomorrow, November 18, 2022.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, November 21, 2022.
Monday through Wednesday:
- Monitoring of the poured concrete decking to maintain proper temperatures within the heated enclosures.
Allowed for curing of the poured stem and wing walls. Southern cofferdam and forms were removed.
This project will shut-down for the winter in early December (or as weather dictates) and will resume mid to late April 2023.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, November 14, 2022.
Monday through Friday:
- Removal of the remaining formwork.
- Backfilling the southern abutment with granular fill.
- Begin forming the bridge deck slab.
Formwork continued this week for the stem and wing walls on the southern abutment, including pouring the concrete.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, November 7, 2022.
Monday through Friday:
- After the concrete has cured, stripping of the formwork.
- General project cleanup work.
Excavated for and poured the concrete sub-footing on the southern abutment.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, October 31, 2022.
Monday through Friday:
- Continue work on construction of the footing for the bridge abutment walls at the southern abutment.
PROJECT UPDATE: Installation of the cofferdam at the southern abutment continued as weather allowed.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, October 24, 2022.
Monday through Friday:
- Continue work on the installation of the cofferdam at the southern abutment. When completed, excavation work will begin.
PROJECT UPDATE: The northern abutment is complete. Work on the southern abutment has begun with demolition and removal of the existing concrete along with the start of the installation of the steel sheet piling for the cofferdam.
The following is the anticipated work schedule for the week beginning Monday, October 17, 2022.
Monday through Friday:
- Continue work on the installation of the cofferdam steel sheet piling. Once this installation is complete, excavation efforts will begin.
PROJECT UPDATE: All formwork was removed as well as the cofferdam sheeting on the northern abutment. Backfilling of the said abutment began.

Monday through Friday:
- Begin demolition of the old, existing southern abutment along with excavation efforts.
PROJECT UPDATE: Began stripping forms on the completed northern abutment.
