VT-105 Richford-Jay Resurfacing Project

The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) has begun a multi-year resurfacing project on VT Route 105 beginning just east of the VT-105/South Richford Road intersection in Richford, extending easterly along VT-105 to just east of its intersection with West Jay Road in Jay. The total project length is 7.381 miles.

In addition to extensive repaving, the project will include the replacement and maintenance of existing guardrail runs, some culvert replacements, ditching, and center line rumble strip (CLRS) installations where criteria have been met. Signs along the corridor will also be replaced and upgraded to meet current standards set in the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD).

Lastly, the project will also see ledge removal through machine scaling and blasting to prevent rock falls within the roadway clear zone and improve ditching through the area.
