2022 Symposium People's Choice Awards Winner - Most Related to Work or Interests
Brief Project Description: Field metalizing on steel beam bridges has not been used as a means to protect structural steel in the past. The Agency applied and secured a Grant from FHWA to advertise and construct a field metalizing project. The project was completed in 2021 at a favorable cost and construction duration. Metalizing is considered to have a life cycle of 2.5 times that of field painting.
