The Vermont Agency of Transportation conducts an Independent Assurance (IA) Program in accordance with 23 CFR Part 637.207 to provide an unbiased and independent evaluation of the Acceptance Program. IA is used to independently assess the process not the product.
The Independent Assurance (IA) Unit provides an unbiased and independent evaluation of the Agency's Acceptance Program as identified in the Agency’s Quality Assurance Program (QAP). The QAP outlines the desired performance objectives for IA utilizing a systems-based approach.
