On March 4, 2024, The Vermont Agency of Transportation (VTrans) in conjunction with Belden Construction LLC began replacement of Bridge #108 on US Route 7 in Pittsford over the Furnace Brook at the intersection of US Route 7 and VT Route 3. Also included in the project will be repaving of both the northbound and southbound bridge approaches, the realignment of VT Route 3 and Oxbow Road and other related work associated with the completion of this replacement. The completion date for this work is November 2025.
Motorists are now shifted onto the temporary bridge. Traffic control will be present allowing for intermittent one-way alternating travel on U.S. Route 7 Monday through Friday during working hours.

ROAD CLOSURE NOTIFICATION: There will be a weekend closure of VT Route 3 within the construction vicinity beginning on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. (noon) until Monday, June 10, 2024, at 6:00 a.m. thus causing motorists to follow a signed detour. Motorists wanting to use VT Route 3 traveling south from the project site should continue on U.S. Route 7 to Bus Route 4. Any motorist wanting to use VT Route 3 traveling north towards the project site should use Bus Route 4 to U.S. Route 7.
