GHG Reductions due to VT Clean Transportation Incentive Programs

Project Dates: September 2024 - August 2025

Project Description:

This project evaluates Vermont’s Clean Transportation Incentive programs to ensure they effectively reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, especially in rural areas, while supporting economic and mobility needs. With transportation accounting for 40% of the state's emissions, the project will assess the impact of incentives aimed at increasing electric vehicle (EV) adoption, which currently comprises only 2% of registered vehicles. By analyzing the effectiveness of these programs, the research will help refine strategies to meet Vermont’s GHG reduction targets and guide future policy decisions.
