AMM10: Fiber Optic Sensing Technology for Structural Health Monitoring of Bridges

Brief Project Description: The project consisted of developing sensing textiles by embedding fiber optics into a fabric. The sensors were placed at the bottom of a railway bridge located in New Hampshire. The purpose of these sensors was to monitor the change in strain value while passenger trains pass over the bridge. With this information, we can assess the infrastructure status and perform any maintenance as needed.
