Brief Project Description: Mid-block crossings represent an opportunity to improve pedestrian safety, but require a better understanding of their effects on pedestrian safety and the behavior of pedestrians and drivers in small and rural communities. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the effectiveness of RRFBs relative to traditional mid-block crosswalks in the Vermont context.
