Master Permitting for Hangars
In 2019 VTrans embarked on a monumental endeavor to pre-permit hangar spots, making it easier for interested individuals to construct private and commercial-use hangars at State-owned airports. Parts of the permitting process are complete, opening spots for hangar development at the listed airports. For a summary on what has been completed for permitting and an inventory list of pre-permitted locations at each airport, reference the State of Vermont Airports – Master Hangar Permitting Overview.
The FAA approved Airport Layout Plans for each Airport are linked below, which depict all sites approved for future hangar development, however not all locations on the Airport Layout Plans have been pre-permitted. For a map showing only the pre-permitted locations at each airport, reference Pre-Permitted Hangar Sites.
