Brief Project Description: A summary of VTrans 1-mile demonstration of Topcon's SmoothRide road resurfacing solution executed by Pike Industries, Inc. The demonstration consists of a preliminary roadway scan, profile milling, Magnet Design generated Surface Model, secondary roadway scan, profile paving, and intelligent compaction. The SmoothRide Solution is advancing the survey, design, and construction of standard highway resurfacing projects by efficiently using the manpower, assists, and materials where they are needed the most.
