The Pavement Design Section is responsible for maintaining a large network of Vermont's highway system. This network includes approximately 3,200 miles of National Highway System (NHS), State Highway System (SHS), and Class I Town Highways. The Pavement Design Unit promotes a safe and well-maintained system of public use highways.
