The Vermont Agency of Transportation is committed to minimizing water quality impacts associated with transportation facilities and the Green Infrastructure Engineer is VTrans' primary contact for engineering and regulatory support related to stormwater during project design and development.
The Project Delivery Environmental team participates in a variety of Agency stormwater and environmental initiatives by leading or assisting in the updating or drafting of new policy, procedures, and Standard Specifications; developing tools for designers; and commenting on the Agency’s position to proposed rulemaking and legislation. The Green Infrastructure Engineer also assists in the review of adjacent and upslope proposed developments and work in our ROW through the 19 VSA 1111 permit application process.
